About The Position

Under general guidance of the production supervisor, deliver and pick up products to/from businesses, venders, and other consumers on a pre-determined route.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and valid Driver’s License
Minimum of one year route driver experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills to complete compliance documentation accurately and neatly
Basic computer skills to include MS Word & Excel
Flexibility with work hours and ability to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of low voltage electric equipment preferred
Quality assurance and/or inspection experience preferred
Forklift certification desirable

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicle and complete all assigned deliveries efficiently and safely
Load, deliver, and pick up electrical equipment from vendors and customers
Record each delivery and pick up on a Delivery Tracker
Control and submit all delivery and pick up paperwork to the appropriate department
Obtain signatures from customers on all PODs
Maintain neat, clean, and professional personal appearance and maintain vehicle appearance in a professional manner
Establish and maintain excellent customer service
Communicate with customers, confirming delivery times, delivery addresses, and order details
Identify and monitor customers’ needs
Report to management all problems, competitive intelligence, accidents, and delays as they occur during the route
Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, document deficiencies, and ensure all safety items are in good working order
Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
Follow all safety rules and report any accidents or injuries promptly to management
Assist with inventory and general housekeeping
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
Other duties as assigned
