About The Position

Position Summary Driver is responsible for ensuring the jobsite has an adequate and timely flow of materials and equipment Essential Functions A construction expeditor must be organized and competent to handle several tasks. You should have excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Project management expertise as well as familiarity with fundamental technical and buying concepts will be highly helpful. Must routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, but only on a regular basis, up to 25 pounds. Specifically calls for near vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to change focus. Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of driving experience
• Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle in a safe manner while carefully observing all traffic regulations
• Forklift experience, unloading/loading construction material

Responsibilities

• Determine supply needs through technical details and schedules
• Manage the orders of material and equipment to meet project requirements
• Coordinate the delivery of supplies according to priorities and specifications
• Resolve problems to speed up delivery of orders
• Inspect orders upon arrival to ensure the correct quality and quantity
• Monitor inventory of supplies for different jobs or sites
• Place orders when needed aiming for timely delivery and competitive price
• Arrange the movement of material between locations
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors
