About The Position

The Driver position at Trinity Health PACE programs ensures safe and prompt transportation for PACE participants, including meal delivery and essential supplies. The role involves maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety, and promptly reporting any issues to the department leader. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting PACE participants, prioritizing their comfort and satisfaction, adhering to schedules, and adjusting for unforeseen changes and participant needs. They must operate vehicles in compliance with regulations and safety standards, provide physical assistance to participants as needed during boarding and disembarking, and handle biohazard materials with proper precautions. Trinity Health PACE programs offer continuous, quality care for the elderly, enabling independent living at home, with seniors receiving comprehensive care from interdisciplinary teams to foster health improvement and community relationships. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • CDL with passenger endorsement for larger vehicles (for larger vehicles)
  • Minimum age 21 (for Mercy LIFE Massachusetts Drivers)
  • Safe driving history of at least five years (for Mercy LIFE Massachusetts Drivers)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Bilingual Preferred
  • Minimum one year of experience with elderly or frail populations preferred
