About The Position

Great Performances is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking driver with a positive attitude to join our team. This role is responsible for operating straight box trucks and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of supplies, equipment, and food to our event sites and venues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in New York City.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of NYC roadways and traffic patterns.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and a proactive “can-do” approach to challenges.
  • Maintains a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanor when interacting with clients, venue staff, guests, and fellow team members.
  • Must be able to provide valid documentation that you are legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and pack event equipment, supplies, and materials in the warehouse to ensure readiness for scheduled deliveries.
  • Identify and document any missing items during pack-out by creating and reporting a “short list” to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with loading company straight box trucks and vehicles, ensuring all items are properly organized, secured, and ready for safe transport.
  • Support the unloading and breakdown process upon return from events, including separating equipment, perishable food items, and returned beverages, and ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Verify that all loads are secure, complete, and aligned with delivery paperwork prior to departure.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, warehouse areas, and loading docks, including removing trash, empty boxes, and ensuring work-spaces remain safe and operational.
  • Communicate promptly with Supervisors or Managers regarding any discrepancies, damages, or issues identified with event paperwork, inventory, or equipment.
