About The Position
MODERN INDUSTRIES, INC. Job Description Position Title: Local Driver Erie Pa Shift & Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., frequent weekend and extra hours required Requirements: Solid understanding of city, state and federal driving regulations. Valid Driver’s License required; Excellent driving history required. Ability to move / lift heavy objects on a regular basis. Ability to walk significant indoor and outdoor distances during frequent stops Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Previous professional truck driving training preferred. Proven good attendance and work record. Responsibilities: Delivery and pick-up of goods to customers at various regional locations. Maintain extremely accurate records and the traceability of all samples. Load and unload trucks in a manner to prevent damage to load and truck. Operate forklift to load and unload vehicles. Maintain trucks and report mechanical problems & abnormal running conditions. Complete records accurately and on time as instructed. Perform other duties as assigned. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to understand and reliably carry out extensive and detailed process instructions. Must be able to retain instructions sufficient to perform repeat tasks successfully and with minimal supervision.
