About The Position
Under the direction of the Corps Officers, the Driver operates a Salvation Army owned vehicle for routine pickups and/or deliveries of materials, donated or otherwise. The role also involves ensuring proper maintenance of the vehicles. Additionally, the driver assists with baling rags, maintaining the warehouse and loading dock area, picking up trash, and helping customers with items in/out of the store.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Prior experience driving a box truck
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Valid State Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Drives Salvation Army owned vehicle loading and unloading routine pickups and/or deliveries of material, donated or otherwise
- Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles
- Assists with the baling of rags and storage of the same
- Assists in cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and loading dock area
- Picks up trash and debris surrounding the grounds as requested
- Assists customers in carrying purchased/ donated items in/out of the store
- Performs other duties as assigned
