About The Position

Heinzerling Community has a great opportunity for a non-medical transportation driver. As a transportation driver you will get to interact with our amazing population of residents while safely transporting them to appointments and outings in the local community. Pay: $20.25 Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; hours may vary based on resident’s appointment needs.

Requirements

Must be 21 or older
Valid Ohio Driver’s License (max 5 points) and clean driving record
Valid auto insurance
At least 3 years of driving experience
Able to provide a driver’s abstract
Must pass a BCI/FBI background check and not be on any abuse registries
Strong attendance record
Must complete: Driving test with Director of Facilities and Safety Wheelchair securement training CPR & First Aid certification
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provides transportation for individuals as needed in Heinzerling vehicles
Operates lifts in a safe and proper manner according to operating procedures
Assists residents with appointments and outings in the community
Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle. Ensures vehicles are in working order and gas tank is maintained at required levels
Maintains adequate personal hygiene of assigned residents; properly bathes, grooms, changes, dresses, feeds, and positions residents as necessary.
