About The Position

This position will transport clinic patients as needed and within organizational parameters.

Requirements

• Knowledge of CA driving regulations and routes.
• High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.
• Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.
• High school diploma or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience.
• 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Must have a Class B or C CA driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and an acceptable driving record and must provide a current CA DMV driving record.
• Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
• Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.
• El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.
• To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.
• Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a program vehicle to transport patients.
• Adhere to motor vehicle safety regulations and protocols.
• Create and maintain schedules for patients in need of transportation.
• Keep a current log of mileage and patients transported.
• Ensure proper maintenance of the vehicle.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
