Job Position Summary: The Driver is responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering product to customer and supplier locations as determined by the Director of Supply Chain.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Previous company driving experience preferred.
Organization Skills
Basic Computer Skills
Strong attention to details.
Excellent time Management Skills to meet the demand of the customer.
Must be deemed insurable.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
Must be flexible to work longer hours than scheduled.
Must have the ability to become certified to use a Forklift.
Must have the ability to follow instruction.
Must have the ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees and customers.
Must have ability to read applicable customer/B&E documents with or without corrective lenses.
Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
Must have the ability to do Heavy lifting (greater than 40 pounds at once) this will be required at times and lifting boxes is a common activity for this position as well as frequent bending, walking and quick movements.

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
Ensures that all deliveries, pickups or requests for company or customer needs are done accurately.
Check ins and out of our Time & Labor system at start and end of each day for time tracking.
Keeps the company vehicle clean daily and fills the gas tank for the next day.
Does routine daily inspection of truck safety before driving.
Provides customer service and represents company and values in a professional, friendly, service-oriented manner.
Adheres to safety precautions on the road at all times per company policy, utilizes hands-free cell phone use and consistently drives to keep employees and others safe on the road.
Maintains flexibility to meet the needs of customers.
Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
