Job Position Summary: The Driver is responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering product to customer and supplier locations as determined by the Director of Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous company driving experience preferred.
  • Organization Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Excellent time Management Skills to meet the demand of the customer.
  • Must be deemed insurable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • Must be flexible to work longer hours than scheduled.
  • Must have the ability to become certified to use a Forklift.
  • Must have the ability to follow instruction.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees and customers.
  • Must have ability to read applicable customer/B&E documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to do Heavy lifting (greater than 40 pounds at once) this will be required at times and lifting boxes is a common activity for this position as well as frequent bending, walking and quick movements.

  • Previous company driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
  • Ensures that all deliveries, pickups or requests for company or customer needs are done accurately.
  • Check ins and out of our Time & Labor system at start and end of each day for time tracking.
  • Keeps the company vehicle clean daily and fills the gas tank for the next day.
  • Does routine daily inspection of truck safety before driving.
  • Provides customer service and represents company and values in a professional, friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Adheres to safety precautions on the road at all times per company policy, utilizes hands-free cell phone use and consistently drives to keep employees and others safe on the road.
  • Maintains flexibility to meet the needs of customers.
  • Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
