About The Position

This position involves driving a straight truck or tractor-trailer combination to transport donated goods to and from Goodwill collection sites and stores. The driver is responsible for operating the vehicle safely and efficiently, reporting any vehicle problems or defects, and transporting and delivering goods according to schedule. Key duties include loading and unloading merchandise at Attended Donation Centers, stores, and other locations. The role requires strict compliance with DOT standards and regulations, maintaining a good driving record, and ensuring positive customer relations through timely service and professional conduct. Additionally, the driver must complete and submit a daily trip manifest upon returning to the dispatch office.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of straight truck or tractor-trailer driving experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Work under specific instructions.
  • Knowledge of Miami-Dade County roadways and areas is necessary.
  • A Current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Ryder Driver Certification.
  • Must pass the DOT physical certification and be updated every two years.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to perform basic calculations.
  • Organized, Dependable, and takes pride in the job.

Nice To Haves
