About The Position

The role of a driver is transporting our patients to designated areas of our clinics, and working closely with the clinic employees daily. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and health care locations.
  • Must have completed State required 4 Hour Basic Driver Improvement / TCAC and annual exam.
  • Ability to use approved GPS navigation technology.
  • Accountability and time management skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year in experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of Universal Precautions with PPE in each vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Impeccable organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required.
  • Safe work practices in a clinic setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Speaking and writing Spanish.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain communication with patients to improve quality of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Constant communication with clinic employees and management to ensure efficiency and patient experience.
  • Transport patients inside and outside of the facility to designated areas in a punctual and timely manner.
  • Assist patients in and out of the vehicle, and to and from the waiting room.
  • Offer comfort and support to patients and their families.
  • Transport medical equipment, and supplies and laboratory specimens to designated treatment, diagnostic and patient care areas, as requested.
  • Respect and protect patient confidence by keeping all sensitive and patient information private.
  • Follow all protocols and procedures to ensure safe delivery of patients, their possessions, supplies and laboratory specimens.
  • Maintain a secure, clean, and healthy work environment by adhering to the standards and regulations that are set forth by InnovaCare and local, state, and federal governments,
  • Routinely comply with the standards set forth by JCAHO and HIPAA.
  • Regularly participate in ongoing education to improve knowledge and skills.
  • No additional stops between home and designated clinic(s).
