Provide outstanding delivery service to customers and accept product returns as required. Delivery vehicle and all necessary equipment provided by Staples.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1-year of truck driving experience of a 16 ft. or longer straight
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean 5-year driver’s abstract (a.k.a. driving record) that has no “major moving violations” in accordance with applicable provincial law.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted; experience using hand truck/dolly preferred.
  • Possess good knowledge of metro area, able to navigate and read a map and use mobile Proof-of-Delivery devices.
  • Proficient in customer service, verbal and written communication, problem solving, time management and organization.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting under time constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for deliveries by gathering appropriate paperwork and performing pre-trip vehicle inspections while reporting any maintenance problems to supervisor.
  • Deliver products and accept returns from customers as per their requirements while obtaining signatures and completing all required paperwork.
  • Address and resolve customer feedback and inform supervisor of outstanding issues.
  • Engage in safe work practices and ensure cleanliness of vehicle is maintained.
