Position Summary The role of the Driver reports to the Center Manager. This position, under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, will be responsible for safely providing transportation services to PACE participants.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR, required.
  • Driver's license and auto liability insurance, required.
  • Previous experience with transporting the elderly population, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous direct patient care experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicle operation is conducted in a safe manner and all state motor vehicle operator regulations are fulfilled
  • Actively monitor safety precautions when driving to ensure participant safety
  • Perform safety checks of vehicles as required and ensure vehicle is properly maintained
  • Ensure safe escort and care of participants at all times
  • Provide basic life saving measures to participants in the event of emergency
  • Assist participants with safely entering and exiting vehicle
