About The Position

The Fleet / Supply Chain Delivery Driver reports and takes direction from the Fleet / Supply Chain manager. Primary duties for the Fleet / Supply Chain Delivery Driver are to Deliver Supplies and equipment to sites where we are working. The Driver will be able to carry 50lbs and load / unload supplies from truck to clinic as required. Our delivery drivers must be able to drive for 11 hours (maximum drive time) when required then load or unload the truck. All drivers will fill out a Pre-trip check sheet and record the supplies being delivered on a tracking load sheet. All vehicles are GPS monitored and each driver is expected to drive within the speed limits set forth by local law. Drivers are expected to perform journey management with each trip, checking in every 2 hours with the Fleet / Supply Chain on call person. Drivers will let the manager know of any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues at the time they are known. This is a PRN role.

Responsibilities

  • Have a valid class D driver license.
  • Have experience driving in all weather conditions. Snow, Rain, Fog, and Sunshine.
  • Have experience driving trucks up to 3500 series. (1 Ton)
  • Deliver Supplies and equipment to sites.
  • Fill out journey management pre-trip check sheets.
  • Drive vehicles within the local speed limit laws.
  • Track each load by filling out load sheets as required.
  • Report to the Manager or on call person every 2 hours on each trip.
  • Take care to not damage any vehicles that are in the care of the driver.
  • Wash and fuel up vehicles when returning to the Baton Rouge office.
  • Communicate with the Fleet / SC Manager any damages noted on vehicles being driven.
