About The Position

Support the Comfort Foods operations through daily preparation of goods to be shipped, receipt and stocking of deliveries as well as filling supply orders. Job Requirements Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows: • Performs all work in a safe manner, remain constantly aware of continuous improvement(s) for safety-related opportunities • Load and unload material in warehouses and storage facilities • Performs yardcheck of all trailers in the yard and updates white board • Spot trailers in the dock doors according to production/warehouse needs. • Fills out Spotter Pre-Op sheet at the beginning of the shift noting any safety or operational concerns. • Receive materials and verify against packing slips to ensure accuracy • Pick parts for shipments, palletize and package according to procedures • Process shipping and receiving paperwork; record materials transferred/received • Organize stored inventory in freezer. • Look up material quantities using computerized inventory system • Keep work area clean and organized • Assist with other tasks as assigned • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned by Management at any time with or without notice. • Wear appropriate PPE- frock, gloves, ear plugs, slip resistant boots, must be able to wash and sanitize hands to meet GMP Standards • Complete Certification in Lock Out Tag Out Qualifications Education and Experience • Forklift trained and certified • Spotter trained and certified • Strong organizational skills • Ability to neatly and accurately complete paperwork • Basic math and computer skills • Ability to work independently • Valid driver’s license/ Past CDL experience or in-house training • At least 2 years of experience in warehouse/distribution using RF scanners • High School diploma or GED equivalent • Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, and other appropriate MS Office Suite applications). Language Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills.
