About The Position

The Yard Truck Operator position is responsible for efficiently moving loaded and unloaded trailers around the Reverse Logistic Center. The operator must make decisions regarding trailer movements to optimize operational efficiency while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good math, language, and reading skills with attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• High degree of attention to prevent injury and promote a safe work environment.
• Prior experience driving a yard truck or semi is a plus, but not required.
• Understanding that overtime may be required and is considered mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck, maneuvering 53' long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage.
• Perform daily equipment checks, including checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, and examining equipment for damage or leaks.
• Ensure loads are secure and check loads for safety compliance.
• Utilize the yard management system effectively.
• When applicable, operate a forklift to move pallets or materials around the storage facility.
• Stack pallets or materials correctly, following inventory control instructions when applicable.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards when applicable.
• Maintain Relogistics performance expectations and a clean, safe working environment.
