The schedule for this position is 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Our Specials Driver position supports day-to-day customer deliveries as well as some warehouse activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma Required
  • 1-2 years of driving experience required
  • Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record
  • Good customer service skills
  • Energetic
  • Attention to detail
  • Technology proficient - able to use Microsoft products and delivery scanners and tablets.
  • Pass a D.O.T. physical
  • Able to pass a drug screen (If CDL)
  • Physically able to squat, bend and lift over 25-50 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to move large pieces of equipment using a dolly which requires pushing and pulling up to 150 pounds frequently
  • Ability to use a forklift
  • Ability to stand for long periods, use stairs frequently, walk on uneven surfaces
  • Manual dexterity is required

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred; not required
  • Ability to pull a flat bed trailer highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivering customer orders that come in that day. This may include pulling the equipment and parts for your orders, loading and unloading your orders on to the truck, Building your manifest (your plan or schedule of your route), contacting customers, Confirming order details, providing proof of delivery, etc.
  • Taking care of your vehicle, keeping them clean, loading items safely and securely, reporting any incidents of vehicle or product damage to your supervisor immediately
  • Following the rules of the road and reporting any safety or driving infractions immediately
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to company policy
  • Working with the Delivery Services Coordinator and Fleet Manager to ensure routine maintenance is completed when needed and proper documentation is delivered to the Fleet Manager.
  • Be available to work in the warehouse to put items away after receiving is done, to re-stock unclaimed items, or pick your orders for the next day.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned as needed.
