About The Position

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver/Warehouseman to join our team. This position primarily focuses on driving responsibilities, with secondary warehouse duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, assisting with shipping and receiving, and ensuring the timely transportation of materials to and from locations in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans, and surrounding areas. Experience with pulling trailers is a plus. A valid TWIC card and forklift experience are highly preferred. Requirements

Valid Class E driver’s license required.
TWIC card is required.
Forklift experience is highly preferred.
Experience driving with a bumper pull trailer is a plus.
Previous experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and handle materials up to [insert weight requirement].
Flexibility with work hours and availability for on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Drive company vehicles to pick up materials in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans, and surrounding areas.
Safely operate a bumper pull trailer for transporting materials, if required.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain proper documentation for deliveries and pickups, ensuring accuracy in all paperwork.
Adhere to all road safety and company policies during transportation activities.
Participate in an on-call rotation to handle emergency deliveries or material pickups.
Collaborate with warehouse and driving teams to meet shipping, receiving, and operational goals.
Follow all safety protocols, including TWIC card requirements, and ensure compliance with safety standards during all tasks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Assist with receiving shipments, inspecting materials, and ensuring proper storage and organization.
Prepare and pack outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
Work with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and efficient workflows.
Handle materials by organizing, labeling, and sorting as needed.
Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and used safely, including forklifts (if applicable).
