About The Position

This position is located in Redding, CT, at Meadow Ridge, a Benchmark Senior Living Community. Meadow Ridge is a distinctive continuing care retirement community spanning 136 acres with a scenic landscape. The community offers a unique retirement experience with a stunning three-story atrium. The role of the Van Driver is to provide concierge-level transportation services for community residents. This includes transporting residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and shopping trips. The driver is also responsible for monitoring resident activity to ensure safety and maintaining vehicles according to the internal maintenance plan.

Requirements

Have a demonstrated interest in the elderly and are knowledgeable of servicing their needs.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Valid Driver’s license with F Endorsement in the State of Connecticut.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent certificate.

Responsibilities

Transports residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and shopping trips
Monitors resident activity and alerts staff when assistance is necessary to assure resident safety.
Maintains vehicles in accordance with our internal maintenance plan to ensure they are in safe, working order.
