Requirements

Ability to operate a multi-passenger motor vehicle safely and efficiently, provide transportation services and perform vehicle maintenance at a level normally acquired through two to three years of related experience.
Current valid driver’s license in state of hire required. Must be at least 21 years of age, and possess and maintain a safe driving record for the past 2 years. May be required to maintain a Class C driver’s license to operate multi-passenger vans.
Analytical skills necessary to understand and comply with traffic laws, drive defensively and observe clients and report relevant behaviors and interactions to treatment team.

Responsibilities

Drives vehicles to safely transport clients to appointments, special events and recreational activities, and to pick-up or deliver equipment or supplies; conducts other miscellaneous business errands as needed.
Schedules and coordinates transportation needs for assigned facilities or programs by planning and prioritizing trips in cooperation with treatment team members.
Monitors client behavior during transport, maintains order in vehicle and ensures the safety of passengers; reports client incidents or inappropriate behaviors to treatment team members.
Maintains documentation of trip mileage, destinations and passenger rosters; fuels and cleans vehicle; performs minor maintenance tasks and schedules periodic vehicle maintenance.
