About The Position
Indiana Beverage, a family-owned beer and beverage distributor serving Northern Indiana since 1939, is hiring a Driver Trainee in the South Bend area. What You’ll Do As a Driver Trainee, you’ll work alongside experienced drivers to: Assist with product deliveries to retail and on-premise accounts Learn delivery routes, customer service skills, and safety procedures Train to earn your Class-A CDL and become a full-time Route Driver Get a great workout while working in a fast-paced, physical environment Pay & Progression $23/hour to start $24/hour with CDL permit $25/hour with Class-A CDL Earn up to $68,000/year as a Route Driver after training! Requirements
- 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record (no DWI/OWI)
- Ability to pass:
- Drug screen
- Criminal background check
- DOT physical
- Essential functions screening
- MVR review
- Ability to obtain a Class-A CDL and Salesman’s Permit
- Commitment to responsible alcohol handling and compliance with all laws
- Lift up to 160 lbs from ground level
- Push/pull up to 2,100 lbs with a pallet jack
- Lift 30 lbs overhead and climb in/out of trucks repeatedly
- Perform repetitive movements including bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing stairs or ramps
