About The Position
Carson is seeking a dedicated and skilled Tank Wagon Driver to join our team in delivering fuel to local farms, ranches, and heating oil customers in Boise and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for performing proper pre and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring safety and compliance with Department of Transportation standards. You will safely operate loaded and empty tanker trucks of various sizes and configurations, handling the loading and unloading of fuel with precision. This includes operating pumps and valves, filling tanks of all types and sizes, and using various hand tools such as pipe wrenches and hammers. Accurate completion of driver logs, invoices, and other required paperwork is essential. You will also be responsible for purging fuel from the truck into the proper underground storage tanks (UST) at the end of your shift. Maintaining communication with dispatchers and your immediate manager is crucial, as is providing exceptional customer service in all interactions. Upholding environmental safety requirements is also a key aspect of this position.
