About The Position

Jefferson Lines is looking for a Driver Supervisor to effectively manage and direct motor coach drivers and local market activities. Primary responsibilities include planning, supervising, and developing employee performance and engagement. Other responsibilities include dispatch support, sponsoring route performance improvements, and cost savings, helping to reduce service failures and improve cost efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
  • Two-year vocational or associate degree in business or related field, plus 2 years of related experience or high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum four years of relevant experience in transportation, management, or related field.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to get a CDL within six (6) months.
  • skills with experience managing budgets and evaluating cost efficiencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement an effective employee development program that creates safe, capable, and committed motor coach operators.
  • Effectively manage employees to maximize productivity and morale
  • Resolve employee issues with timely follow up and communication
  • Ensures all safety and compliance regulations are followed and meet all company and governmental standards so that the risks for the company are minimized.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory and company policies
  • Effectively achieves high levels of customer satisfaction in ways that generate customer loyalty and growth.
  • Proactively and effectively manages customers’ expectations and experience through route improvements and bus stop locations
  • Manages route operations to ensure efficient use of company resources.
  • Monitors, identifies, and improves transportation cost reductions
