About The Position

The Driver / Shop Floor Helper role supports the efficient operation of the manufacturing facility by executing safe and timely transportation of materials, assisting with shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining a clean, orderly warehouse environment. This position requires a dependable individual with strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in an industrial setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in driving, warehouse operations, or shipping/receiving preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. DMV print out required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing environment.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English. Use computers daily and communicate via email.
  • Understanding of Safe work practices and operational security.

Nice To Haves

  • AS9100 standards, FOD prevention, and operational security.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or space manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and finished goods between facilities, suppliers, and customer locations.
  • Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed according to established schedules and quality standards.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely, following proper material‑handling procedures.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and required documentation.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
  • Assist with preparation of outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, inspect for damage, and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations to support efficient production workflows.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits as required.
  • Operate material‑handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts (training provided if necessary).
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance actions and document actions regularly.
  • Provide recommendations to improve productivity, equipment utilization, and identify best use of equipment.
  • Support 5-S and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines.
  • Perform cross-functional operations.
  • Adhere to Hera Safety protocols and OSHA/Cal OSHA safety regulations.
