About The Position

The position involves providing special instruction to students in compliance with school-system and program requirements, as well as state and federal regulations. The role includes implementing an instructional, therapeutic, and skill development program tailored for differentiated learning levels. Responsibilities also encompass conducting formal and informal assessments of all students, planning and utilizing appropriate instructional strategies, and integrating activities, materials, and equipment that align with the accommodations set in each student's Individual Education Plan. Additionally, the position requires planning and supervising assignments for staff members assisting with students, establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with all parties involved, and completing required documentation within specified timelines. The individual must abide by and demonstrate the company's Mission, Vision, and Values through their behavior and job performance on a daily basis, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of or eligibility for temporary driver teaching certification in the State in which the Center is located.
  • Experience working with diverse youth.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provides special instruction to students in compliance with school-system and program requirements, state and federal regulations.

  • Conducts formal and informal assessments of all students.
  • Plans and uses appropriate instructional strategies to include the integration of activities, materials and equipment that align with the accommodations as set in the student's Individual Education Plan.
  • Plans and supervises assignments for staff members assisting with students.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate, open lines of communication with all parties, including students, therapists, school district personnel, parents, and co-workers.
  • Attends all required meetings and trainings offered by the program.
  • Completes required documentation within timelines, including recording of grades and attendance.
  • Abides by and demonstrates the company's Mission, Vision, and Values through behavior and job performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
