About The Position

As a Driver's Aide at Classic Metals Suppliers you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient transportation of materials and products. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the driver in loading, unloading, and securing cargo, which is vital for maintaining the flow of operations. You will also be responsible for conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure that all safety protocols are followed, contributing to a safe working environment. Additionally, you will assist the driver in navigating routes ensuring the safety of the cargo. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact the productivity and success of our delivery processes.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Fluent in English and Spanish
Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or logistics industry.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist the driver in loading and unloading materials and products from the vehicle.
Guide the driver with route navigation and help maintain delivery schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and assist in route planning.
Ensure the safety and security of the cargo during transit.
Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle.
Report any incidents or issues to the driver or supervisor.
Follow safety protocols and company procedures during transport.
Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
Communicate effectively with the driver and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
