About The Position

ABCO Transportation is seeking an energetic and outgoing Driver Recruiter to facilitate the driver recruiting process and exceed company goals!

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail critical
• Ability to communicate effectively both in person and on the phone with drivers, internal and external business partners and others as needed providing concise instruction or information
• Ability to manage complex situations promptly and professionally meeting company goals and expectations
• Ability to adhere to all company, state and federal regulations, policies and procedures
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; bi-lingual Spanish a plus

Nice To Haves

• Experienced in interviewing and selecting qualified drivers is a plus
• Interviewing skills to include the ability to listen and analyze answers and ask appropriate questions
• Strong organization and communication skills with solid problem solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize work load and attention to detail
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Previous Recruiting Class A Drivers in multiple states preferred
• Prior experience with Tenstreet ATS and McLeod Software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, interview and hire qualified Class A Drivers
• Develop potential driver leads using cold calling, e-mail, computer databases and Internet recruiting resources
• Screen and interview applicants via phone to obtain work history, education, training and skills
• Provide information on company and job opportunities to potential applicants
• Process applications for potential drivers, new hires and rehires
• Complete background screenings including pulling MVR and DAC reports
• Track, call and hire from multiple sources
