PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Working under the supervision of our Warehouse Manager, the Driver (Pre-Apprentice) would: Coordinate deliveries and pickups with supervisor and may need to coordinate with project managers, assistant project managers and foremen. Build loads for deliveries, verifying accuracy of loaded products before and after delivery to jobsite. Load/unload materials Maintain a safe load Possess ability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, equipment failures, etc.) in a timely manner Perform daily vehicle inspections and reports and signs for any corrective action taken for repair while notifying supervisor of issues. Maintain cleanliness of all equipment used to meet DOT guidelines. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures. Comply with all safety regulations within the company and jobsites, including but not limited to; wearing safety glasses, hardhats, vests, etc. when required. Notify supervisor immediately of accidents or violations. Fully understands and complies with DOT securement standards.

Requirements

  • Currently hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • No major violations or accidents on driving record (past 36 months)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOT physical medical card
  • Individuals need to sit, stand or walk as needed; must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintain strict deadlines
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills; team player
  • OSHA-10 certified
  • High school diploma or equivalent
