About The Position

The Patient Service Technician is responsible for delivering and picking up equipment from homecare patients. This role involves setting up equipment and instructing patients on its basic use, assisting patients in solving problems regarding equipment use, and scheduling and organizing daily deliveries and pickups according to geographic territory. The technician will load and unload durable medical or infusion equipment, oxygen, and medical supplies onto the delivery vehicle, while complying with all applicable regulatory requirements. The position also requires completing necessary paperwork, maintaining vehicle maintenance logs, and ensuring vehicles are in proper working condition. The technician may respond to emergency delivery calls and perform routine vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

  • Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
  • At least one-year related work experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
  • Minimum of three years driving history required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed.
  • Performs routine vehicle maintenance.
