Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain any certifications/licenses required by regulatory agencies as a condition of continued employment
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel to ensure customer needs and requirements are met
- Must have basic proficiency using technology (laptop, tablet, cell phone)
- Valid driver’s license with no significant restrictions or violations
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be 21 years or older
Responsibilities
- Collect and transport samples from all assigned customer locations to the central laboratory for testing according to the schedule
- Keep lab shipping and receiving supervisor informed of any requests or concerns brought to the couriers’ attention by customers
- Record sample and cooler information on appropriate forms for delivery to laboratory
- Report any situations that arise in the course of the collection run (delay enroute, accidents, or vehicle breakdown)
- Maintain vehicle mileage reports and sample collection log to include arrival and departure times
- Maintain assigned vehicle in good working order. Advise management of needed maintenance and mechanical problems as necessary
- Clean and maintain sample coolers at collection locations and service log tags as necessary
- Sample collection routes run overnight, and occasional overnight stays possible
