About The Position

About the Role At PSS Cross Country Infrastructure Solutions, every team member plays a critical role in delivering the products, equipment, and expertise that keep America’s infrastructure projects moving forward. The Driver/Material Handler is responsible for picking up and delivering products using company vehicles while also performing a variety of warehouse duties including receiving, storage, packaging, shipping, and distribution. This position requires safe operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The role typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally
  • Familiar with standard warehouse practices
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills for shipping and receiving
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and 3+ years of driving experience (if driving duties are required)
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • At least 21 years of age (per DOT/FMCSA requirements).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening, where permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL and Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification

Responsibilities

  • Deliveries & Driving Safely pick up and deliver products within the local branch area using company vehicles.
  • Drive company trucks to and from customers or vendors, completing deliveries on time.
  • Transport products to local customers using company trucks and trailers (if applicable).
  • Maintain company vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring preventive maintenance checks are completed; promptly report issues or concerns.
  • Warehouse Operations Pull, stage, and prepare products from designated inventory locations with accuracy.
  • Package and secure outbound shipments, ensuring products are damage-free and ready for delivery.
  • Unload incoming trucks, verify materials against delivery tickets, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Check vendor packing lists, update PO Stock Tickets, and accurately record inventory movements.
  • Stock and organize products in assigned locations while keeping inventory records current.
  • Conduct inventory control audits to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Equipment & Safety Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and ladders.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
  • Consistently follow company safety protocols and procedures.
