About The Position

The Driver Manager FLEX is responsible for directly managing drivers within a designated geographical area, focusing on coaching, safety, and ensuring a positive employee experience. This role is crucial for meeting customer expectations and enhancing driver satisfaction and productivity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain.
  • Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) required.
  • Advanced logistics industry knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Supply Chain Management components required.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the day-to-day work of the drivers.
  • Ensure professional, timely, and effective communication with drivers via phone calls and system messages.
  • Maintain driver detention time and review Lytx events to coach drivers accordingly.
  • Document behaviors and violations in Workday as necessary.
  • Track driver attendance, pay, and status in Workday.
  • Provide ongoing direction and leadership to drivers to ensure excellent customer service and KPI achievement.
  • Collaborate with others to identify and implement solutions to improve driver retention.
  • Manage driver payroll and ensure quality time at home for drivers.
  • Ensure compliance in driver training.
