About The Position

We are seeking a safety-conscious CDL driver to transport live poultry from farms to the processing facility. This role is vital to ensuring animals are handled and delivered safely, securely, and on schedule. This position reports directly to the Transportation Manager and works closely with the live haul and plant operations teams. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and current medical card required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience (3 years preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Previous live poultry hauling experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers transporting live poultry from farms to the processing plant.
• Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle readiness.
• Verify and secure loads prior to departure; ensure animal welfare standards are followed during transport.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, and weight documentation.
• Follow all DOT, federal, state, and company safety policies and regulations.
• Report equipment or maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Work late evening to early morning shifts; flexibility is required.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support transportation and plant operations.
