About The Position

Come join our team! Pierre Landscape is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong driving experience and an interest or background in construction—preferably landscape construction. Position Summary The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of equipment and materials to various job sites. This role requires strict adherence to company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures. The Driver will work closely with field personnel to ensure efficient, safe, and productive deliveries.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or trade school certification
  • Valid Class A or B Driver’s License
  • Experience with Skid Steer, Mini Ex, Dingo, Power Buggy preferred

Nice To Haves

  • John Deere and Toro equipment experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Hold a valid Class A or B California Driver’s License
  • Receive and confirm delivery assignments
  • Drive long distances across multiple counties
  • Operate dump trucks with trailers for equipment/material deliveries
  • Safely operate and load/unload equipment such as Skid Steer, Mini Ex, and Dingo
  • Secure loads using proper chains and binders
  • Manage routes to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Fuel equipment prior to delivery
  • Load and unload cargo not requiring a two-person lift
  • Accurately complete timecards
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report any defects
  • Complete monthly Goals & Controls accurately
  • Report road incidents to Supervisor
  • Follow all traffic and safety laws
  • Monitor road conditions and plan routes accordingly
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs
  • Keep truck clean and organized
  • Perform daily equipment and fluid checks
  • Follow proper accident procedures
  • Report equipment issues to Yard Technician and Supervisor
  • Inspect and verify goods before and during delivery
