About The Position
Join Better Trucks as a Delivery Driver Partner, where you will play a crucial role in our last-mile parcel delivery service. Better Trucks is a leading company in the parcel delivery industry, known for our commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers nationwide. We are currently expanding our residential delivery team in New York and are seeking dedicated independent contractor drivers to join us. As one of America's fastest-growing start-up parcel delivery companies, we are looking for drivers who can pick up routes at our hub in Bethpage and deliver exclusively in Manhattan. As a Better Trucks SHIFT Driver, you will enjoy the flexibility of your schedule, with most routes estimated to take between 5 to 8 hours. The beauty of this role is that if you finish your deliveries early, you get to keep the extra cash! Depending on the size of the route, many drivers can complete their deliveries in under 5 hours. You will have the freedom to drive your own vehicle, whether it be a car, minivan, cargo/sprinter van, SUV, or pickup truck with a covered bed, and enjoy the open road without passengers. This allows you to listen to music, audiobooks, or podcasts while you work. One of the standout features of this position is the same-day payment for route completion. You will be compensated on the same day you complete your deliveries, making it a great opportunity for those looking to earn extra cash quickly. If you encounter any failed deliveries, you will simply return them to the hub at the end of your route. If there are no failed deliveries, you can head home right after completing your route. To qualify for this position, you must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license and social security number, and have a reliable vehicle with valid insurance coverage. Additionally, you will need to have a clean vehicle space and an iPhone or Android smartphone. A background check will also be required. We recommend that you reside within 35 miles of the Bethpage hub to ensure timely route pick-up and delivery. Our delivery days are Monday through Saturday, and we are specifically looking for drivers who are available to work on weekends.
