About The Position
Safely drive and operate a delivery vehicle (Tankers and flatbed delivery trucks) in various weather and traffic conditions. Prepare, load, and unload packages (often up to 50–70 lbs) ensuring items are secured to prevent damage. Use GPS and route-planning software to determine the most efficient paths to meet delivery windows. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking tires, fluids, and lights) and report any mechanical issues. Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain digital or physical signatures, and handle invoices or payments as required. Interact with customers professionally, answering questions and resolving delivery-related issues on-site.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR). (Class A, Hazmat, Tankers endorsments)
- Ability to lift heavy objects as much as 50 pounds and remain on your feet/driving for extended shifts.).
- Proven ability to work independently and adhere to strict delivery schedules.
- Strong verbal and written skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
