About The Position

Join the Hirsch Team as a Driver II/III where you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a company vehicle (typically 26' box truck or larger) to transport plumbing and HVAC supplies to customers, job sites, or company branches. The Driver II/III also assists with loading and unloading materials, verifying order accuracy and maintaining the vehicle in a clean, safe operating condition. Requirements

  • Driver II (Class C)
  • Driver III (Class B/Class A)
  • Comply with DOT regulations and uphold all company safety standards.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience driving a 16’ – 28’ stake bed
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and 2+ years of commercial driving experience (non-CDL or CDL B).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles (typically box trucks up to 26’) to transport plumbing/HVAC materials to customer sites and company branches.
  • Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).
  • Verify delivery accuracy and obtain required signatures/documentation.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform vehicle inspections.
  • Assist in the warehouse with pulling, staging, or restocking materials as needed.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to customers and represent our company positively on every route.
