About The Position

The Driver II position at Republic Services involves safely operating a collection truck to provide waste removal services. Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Good time management skills to ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently.
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and promote safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers as per departmental procedures.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials and clean up spills as necessary.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports (VCRs).
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards to ensure timely customer service.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in the Company's ReSOP program.
