About The Position
Abby’s Catering, established in 1980, specializes in providing exceptional culinary and hospitality experiences for private, corporate, and commercial aviation clients. The Driver I role is crucial for the safe, timely, and secure delivery of in-flight meals and equipment. Team members are responsible for transporting and delivering catering items within the Houston metro area and secure airport environments. Drivers are expected to uphold a high standard of professionalism, safety, and attention to detail, representing Abby’s Catering to airline and aviation partners. Strict adherence to traffic, airport, and safety rules is paramount, with no tolerance for speeding or reckless driving.
Requirements
- Must speak and understand English (required for airport badging and safety compliance)
- Valid and clean Texas driver’s license (Class C required)
- Ability to pass background check and airport badging requirements
- Strong time management and reliability
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Nice To Haves
- Delivery or professional driving experience preferred
- Class B or Class A license is a plus
Responsibilities
- Safely transport meals, equipment, and supplies to and from aircraft and facilities
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic, airport, and safety regulations
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented vehicles at all times
- Follow food safety, food defense, and security protocols
- Ensure proper handling of carts, seals, and delivery documentation
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, operations, and customers
- Wear company-issued uniform and maintain professional appearance
