Driver - Helper

About The Position

The Driver Helper position will assist the driver in the unloading and delivery of products on the route. Assist the Driver with routes delivering products consisting of multiple stops. Place delivered products in various assigned storage locations at each stop according to customer’s request. Maintain accuracy of delivered product with no damage due to mishandling. Perform duties by following the Company’s safety standards. Represent Ben E. Keith Company with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude and dress code. Assist in reading maps and directions with driver Report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to bases. Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. We use dash cameras which leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events and improve driver safety performance. The videos are also used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
High School Education/GED required
Able to perform repetitive lifting of over 50lbs., occasional lifting over 100lbs.
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to walk extensively.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, stoop, and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner.
Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
