Job Summary: Responsible for assisting drivers in unloading and stacking ice products at customer locations. Assists drivers in directing vehicles into parking spaces. Reddy Ice manufactures and distributes approximately 1.8 million tons of ice annually to a broad and diversified customer base. These customers rely on us for ice that is produced under the industry’s highest standards. With our quality and high service levels, Reddy Ice has become the provider of choice for customers coast to coast.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Daily exposure to travel and weather hazards.
- Very labor intensive due to amount of lifting, bending, and stacking ice to off load product.
- Must be able to lift up to 40-pound bags of ice and move up to 700 - 1000 lbs. of ice and ice merchandisers with assistance of proper equipment.
- Must be able to climb into passenger and cargo areas of truck.
- This is a constant procedure throughout the day.
- Temperatures within trailer are 28 – 30°.
