About The Position

The Driver Helper assists the truck driver by performing any combination of following tasks. The position of Driver Helper is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 in any one work week. The Driver Helper shall be accountable and supervised by the Transportation Manager.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads product/merchandise by hand or by use of hand truck.
• Stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
• Delivers and stacks merchandise on customer's premises in accordance with customer request.
• Assist drivers with any directions or needs.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures while paying special attention to safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
