About The Position

The Driver & Helper position is a critical role responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods and materials across various locations within the United States. This role combines driving duties with hands-on assistance in loading, unloading, and organizing cargo to ensure efficient delivery operations. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and operational efficiency. They will work closely with logistics teams to coordinate routes and schedules, adapting to changing demands and priorities. Ultimately, this role supports the seamless movement of products, enhancing overall supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely, typically up to 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a driver and helper role or similar logistics position.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
• Certification in commercial driving (CDL) if applicable to vehicle type.
• Experience with warehouse operations or inventory management.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations to transport goods to designated locations.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Verify delivery schedules and routes, communicating any delays or issues promptly to supervisors and customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Support warehouse or site staff with general labor tasks as needed, including organizing inventory and securing loads.
