About The Position

As a Driver Helper at Sysco, you will assist the delivery driver in unloading, checking the quality, and delivering products to customer locations. This role involves ensuring that products meet quality standards and are rotated properly. You will also be responsible for driving to different locations to assist with deliveries, handling customer complaints professionally, and ensuring that company equipment is used properly. Additionally, if you hold a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), you will be classified as a CDL driver, which may affect your job responsibilities and compliance with DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• No drug or alcohol violations within the past 3 years.
• No open violations listed in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Prefer High School or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with handcarts and electric pallet jacks.
• Proven ability to communicate articulately and perform simple arithmetic.
• Knowledge of the product delivery schedule and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Unload and check the quality of products at customer locations.
• Rotate and check the quality of produce.
• Drive to different locations to assist the driver with deliveries.
• Call in when a customer does not receive their entire order.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Properly handle company equipment and follow written driver safety rules.
• Perform a pre-trip inspection.
