The Driver/Forklift Operator position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw and finished materials. The position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work with limited supervision; employees are responsible for reviewing and managing their work hours as posted by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation using RF scan technology.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Dependable and punctual, consistently reporting to workstations on time.
  • Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to remain focused on assigned tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts or hand jacks to unload trucks and move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Inspect products for damage or leaks and store them in designated locations using an RF scan gun.
  • Transfer products as needed using the RF scan gun to consolidate inventory, free up locations, or ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Pick orders using the RF scan gun, selecting the oldest product first unless otherwise directed.
  • Ship and load pallets per sales orders onto designated trucks and accurately complete load sheets.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Complete all Master Sanitation Schedules.
  • Safely operate the transfer truck in compliance with ODOT rules and regulations.
  • Deliver raw and finished materials to the plant and Avon warehouse.
  • Review the daily production schedule, pull required raw materials, and stage them in Ranney.
  • Operate forklifts and hand jacks proficiently.
  • Obtain and maintain company certification for forklift and hand jack operation.
  • Maintain a valid state driver’s license with no violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
