About The Position
The Driver Development Specialist is responsible for delivering driver training and development in compliance with Company, Federal, and State regulations. This includes assessing and coaching drivers of articulated vehicles, both in the truck and in a simulator environment, maintaining accurate records of all training, and fostering an encouraging learning environment. The role involves conducting driver-facing development in various settings, facilitating simulator training, maintaining records, performing safety-related functions, and coaching drivers in collaboration with Operations and Safety. The incumbent must complete the U.S. Xpress Professional Driving Program once a year.
