About the position
Immediately Hiring a Route Driver in Ontario, CA. No Experience Required. We want the right Employee to Drive with us Full Time at Ryder. Route Service Drivers on this account earn $1200 or more Weekly and it gets better Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly Hourly Pay: $22.00 Per Hour. Hours Per Week: 50 or more hours per week. Schedule: Thursday - Monday Start Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. Deliver Independently to: 145 mile radius of Ontario CA. Route: Local Area - Home Daily. Truck Type: GMC Savanah. Equipment: Hand Trucks and Lift Gates. Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in delivering and merchandising to ensure our products are well-presented and available to customers. You will work closely with store managers and other team members to deliver products, maintain displays, stock inventory, and support promotional activities.
Responsibilities
- Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records
- Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
