About The Position

To provide for the routine operation and minor maintenance of university vehicles in the transportation of materials or passengers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience.
• Completion of defensive driver course within 30 days of hire.
• Must possess a current Texas Class “C” driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Transfer patients and other assigned passengers on and/or off campus, assisting them in entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Deliver and/or retrieve materials as instructed.
• Assists in the loading and unloading of materials from the vehicle.
• Maintains daily log of mileage, number of trips, passengers/cargo, destination, and fuel and oil consumption.
• Inspects the condition of the assigned vehicle on a regular basis with regard to oil, fuel, tires, and water.
• Reports any needed adjustments or repairs to supervisors.
• Adheres to internal controls established for the department.
• Performs related duties as required.
