Driver (Client Transportation) (Part-Time position) Region VII Area Agency on Aging is accepting applications for a highly motivated Transportation/Driver. This is a Part-Time position. Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested. Purpose of the position Driver will transport clients between destinations, such as doctors’ appointments, as well as between cities. Maintaining travel logs and perform vehicle upkeep. Driver will assist in arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations. Making sure the people we transport arrive at their destinations safely and on time. Excellent social and communication skills and can learn the technical skills required for the position.

Requirements

Excellent physical condition
Ability to stay alert for extended periods of time
Superior verbal communication, speaking and listening skills
A Valid Driver’s License/Chauffeur License or able to obtain upon hire
Communicate with supervisors and clients, professionally representing organization
Able to learn new information quickly and apply information towards future decision making and problem solving
Clean driving record
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities
