About The Position

The position is responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. The driver must adhere to safety and compliance regulations, ensuring that goods are delivered undamaged and on schedule while providing professional service to customers. The role involves driving vehicles that weigh greater than 26,000 pounds and may include towing vehicles or trailers that weigh less than 10,000 pounds.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Class B CDL license
• Pass MVR report
• Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
• Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
• Basic math & measurement skills
• Ability to read and speak the English language

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery vehicles and/or truck-trailer combinations to transport materials to customer sites.
• Load or assist with loading and securing products, materials, or supplies inside the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles; perform routine safety checks to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Use handheld devices (except while driving) to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS regulations.
• Maintain hours of service logs and perform pre/post trip inspection procedures.
• Perform credit/product return pick-ups and related paperwork as needed.
• Operate a forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and offload materials to designated areas.
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings and recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
